It could very well be as simple as having the idle adjusted. You can take it to your local dealership and have that done for next to nothing. Or better yet, let a girlfriend take it in and they will probably do it for free. If that solves your problem, great. If not it will probably mean something more serious, but not always. The last time that happened to me, it was because my floor mat got jammed so far under the clutch that it could not engage properly. You might want to check that first and possibly save yourself the embarrasment I had to endure.

It could also be a loose or broken motor mount.
