If somebody says something against Jesus, nothing; but if somebody says something against Bush, there's likely to be an all-out brawl. Why?

I don't mean that I put down Jesus. I absolutely love Jesus with all my heart. I just mean I've heard things like this before.

Not a believer, but a really good point. Probably has more to do with who holds the keys to the country and how they want it to be run.

Jesus = life guidance?
Bush = control of the country and lives, specifically of one sort of mindset. So I can see how more controlling types that agree with him would back Bush so quickly... People's belief in Jesus doesn't seem controlling of other people... It's all about dominating and controlling others now and Bush is the way for them...

oh trust me, i hate how liberals are against bush, but believe me, when someone says something bad about Jesus, i'll be glad to make sure he gets an all out brawl, Bush is great, but Jesus is my #1 friend and no one talks bad about my friend.

I haven't seen a lot of anti-Jesus posts. I have certainly seen and participated in religious debate questions. And certainly share a lot of the negative feelings for George Bush.

I hope you don't have to see anymore posts against Jesus. Good religious debate doesn't need to debase or defame Jesus.

Because it's always cool to ridicule and marginalize and misrepresent and persecute Jesus. Defending Him and taking a stand for Him, however, are definitely not cool. It's been this way since he was here, and it's not going to change until he gets back. I can hardly wait.

All hail Zog!

(Think about the way it is worded, and the impart as you replace ZOG, with the two names in the question) How does it differ, to you?
