ok i already asked this question but some people need more detail in order to help me. so here goes. Me and my boyfriend had sex the other day (the 15th) and he ejaculated inside of me. My period is due on the 27th. What are my chances of being pregnant?

Also my parents love my boyfriend and wouldnt press charges on him for this because they both believe that if you are old enough to have sex, you are old enough to have a kid. But what im scared of is that if i am pregnant is would the state pick it up and press charges on him? im 15 and hes 18.

I ditto what the above person said...if no one alerts the authorities to it, then it should be ok. If you are pregnant...you may not want to tell the health care personnel that the father is over 18 because they may press charges. If your parents don't press charges...then it should be ok.

BUT...you may want to keep in mind that everytime you and your boyfriend have sexual relations, he is breaking the law. It isn't fair for all that pressure to be on him...what if someone else calls children's services or something. It doesn't matter what your views or your parents' or whoever's views are on the matter...it is still against the law. I'm not saying that you should cease your relationship...gosh, don't I know that once you walk down that road, it's hard (no pun intended) to say no...but keeping in mind that it's against the law may motivate the two of you to be very discreet.

Ok, so I've babbled on and that wasn't even your question. Could you be pregnant? I dunno. I believe that in general-ovulation occurs between 14 and 21 days of your cycle. Day one of your cycle is the day your period starts...so yes, there is a possibility that you were ovulating. Then again...you may have longer or shorter cycles...so that is going vary when you actually ovulate.

If you haven't started your period by the beginning of next month-take a pregnancy test. I know you are probably sitting on pins and needles right now and I wish I had the words to soothe your anxiety. Try to keep yourself busy and your mind occupied so that you don't drive yourself crazy. The stress you cause yourself could also delay your period! EEK.

Here is a website about the 'Billings Ovulation Method'...it will give you a lot of information about how your cycle works, pregnancy and how to use the method to determine your most probably time of fertility. It is a great natural way to prevent or get pregnant. It's not surefire...but I think that the information is good to have.

*hugs*

As for the legal question, it depends on your state's statutory rape laws. Different jurisdictions have different rules governing the age under which engaging in sexual intercourse with such minor female is a crime. Some states have absolute cut-offs at 14 or 16, other states give various ranges of ages of the girl and specify ranges of ages of guys for whom sexual intercourse with such girl is a crime. So it will depend greatly on where you live.

It is true that the state probably wouldn't find out if you didn't press charges or report it...unless you were in fact pregnant and had to go to the doctor for an exam. Almost all or all states have mandatory reporting laws requiring health care workers to inform a state agency if they have reason to suspect that a minor has engaged in sexual activity. Once the state is informed, it's up to the state to decide whether or not to prosecute.

As for pregnancy, ovulation usually occurs 14 days before period. 27 - 14 = 13. Sperm remain fertile for 3 days. This would seem to put you in peak time for fertilization, unless my math skills are abnormally bad. But your chances of actually conceiving? Hard to say - these things are normally a roll of the dice.

In some states what your boyfriend is doing could be considered statutory rape. Why are your parents ok with you sleeping with this guy, much less sleeping with any guy you're not married to? Aren't they concerned about your physical and emotional health?

Yes, you could be pregnant but that would depend on whether you were ovulating or close to ovulating at the time. Only a test will confirm if you miss your period.

Despite what your parents think, are YOU ready to have a kid? Is your boyfriend? Probably not since you are both engaging in some very irresponsible behavior.

I hope you will consider adoption if you do become pregnant. And try to find a real man - one who will respect you and your body, not take advantage.

no, you are say ing you are 15 and he is 18 right?!>... The only way the state will press charges against you is that if someone reports your relationship. From what you say Sadly ...your parents have a stupid attiditude!! Listen. Your are 15 and your parents are teaching you that if you can have sex you can have a child?....I guess they thought for some reason their parenting ended long ago!! I am not saying your parents don't love your boyfriend but they should at leat be by your side incase you get pregnant not having the oldest cliche in the book saying
pretty much..... iF YOU MAKE YOUR BED YOU BETTER LIE IN IT. That is what your parents are saying by if you are old enough to have sex you are old enough to have kids....AND NO
NOO NOOO NOOO
IF I WERE YOUR MOM....you would not be continuing to have sex with this 18 year old boy...BOTTOM LINE...THE END.

you need to speak to someone!!
if you want to speak to me you can email me......but in all retrospect you are being guided wrongly!!!

Wow. What a predicament you got yourself into. I wish you had used some sort of contraceptive. Well, it sounds like you didn't and your chances are pretty high no matter what day and when your period is (besides ovulation). What I'm trying to say is that whatever the chance is, you've opened up a chance so just pray for the best.

Newsflash - Robbing the cradle is wrong! You are not going to get pregnant unless you know your cycle very well and if you think that you still might be pregnant then you might want to purchase a cheap pregnancy test and take it before the 27. If you keep stressing you might miss your period and that isn't good.

very very good, considering that could be during your prime ovulation time. however, you are 15 and as likely not completely regular. Also many women pass their first pregnancy as a miscarriage during the first month of pregnancy without ever knowing. If i were you though i would be a little worried and be prepared for the worst.

First of all, why are you having unprotected sex? Your parents might believe that if you are old enough to have sex, you are old enough to have a child...but what about your future? Don't you want to experience life? Graduation, prom, college, a career, other men? Please don't limit yourself. You are worth more than this.

what state do you live in? check the statutory rape guidelines for your state.

Most state will not go after him on their own, not until someone presses charges against him.
