I think Art Bell probably has the inside scoop. We should all listen. The U.S. has had the most horrible temperatures lately.

Global Warming has been real for about 12,000 years since the last ice age ended. Of course, there have been plenty of cooling spells in that span but overall it has been warming since LONG BEFORE HUMANS GOT INDUSTRIAL.
The ocean levels are now hundreds of feet higher than they were back then.
So, global warming is real but Al 'Inconvenient Spin' Gore tells a lot of lies to try to make it into something it is not.
He shows a dry lake bed - doesn't mention that it's dry because the Russians diverted the rivers that used to feed the lake.
He mentions the snow melting off Kilimanjaro - doesn't mention that the peak is COLDER than it was 30 years ago but massive deforestation, reducing moisture, has reduced the amount of snowfall up there.
Gore and others stand to gain a lot if they can get into political power by shouting 'alarum!'. They know where their bread is buttered (Michael Moore sucks the money out of the wallets of the same idiots) and plan on getting a lot more butter.

50 and 75 years after the industrial revolution took off, we were actually recording our coldest and hottest temperatures in different regions. Very few have been broken to this point.
And like some of the others mentioned, it's a cycle that's been going on throughout the history of the earth. Who are we to pretend we know for sure? It's good to be careful anyway, but to use "scare" tactics is absurd.
The funny thing is that when they talk about the glaciers melting, they're leaving out an important part - they're actually still growing in size. The melting is observed around the areas of a glacier that is receding. But that same glacier that can be dozens or hundreds of square miles big, is actually expanding in other areas.

Well, if you look at the temperture flux throughout Earth's geological history, you'll notice that having the Earth rise by one degree is not that big of a deal at all. On the other hand, you have critics saying that the Earth has steadily grown warmer since the Industrial Revolution. Is the Earth really warming up? Neither side is giving in, nor has sufficent proof.

Global warming is a load of crap and so is pollution. I say this because
a) A natural volcano causes more pollution than all the cars... ever. and;
b) The Earth goes through natural cycles and you can't stop it. We have been able to measure temperature accurately for what, 150 years now and since then the Earth has gotten 1 degree hotter and all the Libs are freaking out.

don't think something you examine and purely a million/2 of what you notice. of direction, worldwide warming is actual. The final Ice age has long previous away, has it no longer? So, we could desire to have worldwide warming. Do human beings make a contribution to worldwide warming? in all possibility some small quantity, after all we are heat and we breath in oxygen and breath out CO2, we could desire to be slightly of the challenge. what's Al Gore going to do approximately it? Kill one among those human beings? continually that's what Socialists do whilst they take administration of a rustic. Is that extra desirable than destroying their economy and inflicting tens of millions to starve to loss of life?

I don't know but it's something that seems to be going that way.
It's been a really hot almost unbearable summer where I live. It has made me so depressed. I think we will ultimately destroy each other first though.
