If your reference is in regards to time, then they are the same. HOWEVER, it seems it would be "infinity" is of greater expanse as includes more than time.

My Reasoning:
- "Infinity" is unbounded time, space, and quantity and eternity
- Eternity is inclusive of the "infinite time" but does not include all of the facets of the infinite or infinity. Only in time.

Here are the actual definitions....

eternity:
1. Time without beginning or end; infinite time.
2. The state or quality of being eternal.
3. The timeless state following death.
4. The afterlife; immortality.
5. A very long or seemingly endless time: waited in the dentist's office for an eternity.

infinity:
1. The quality or condition of being infinite.
2. Unbounded space, time, or quantity.
3. An indefinitely large number or amount.
4. In Mathematics. The limit that a function is said to approach at x = a when (x) is larger than any preassigned number for all x sufficiently near a.

Assuming there is going to be an apocalypse, and I would relate eternity with us all living still, infinity will last longer

I think eternity. Eternity sounds like a lifetime. And infinity sound like a large number.

Well, technically eternity is longer... Eternity is a measurement of time while infinity is a measurement of quantity.

Eternity is longer
Line both words on the same margin, but on different lines. Use the same font and size for both words, and you will see eternity is a little longer. "i" only takes little space and "e" takes more.

They're the same thing when it comes to length of time.

"While in the popular mind, eternity often simply means existing for an infinite, i.e., limitless, amount of time, many have used it to refer to a timeless existence altogether outside of time." - Wikipedia

Neither, they're both 8 letters long, unless you include the period you put at the end of "eternity." in which case "eternity." is longer.
