Several sites mention that Marie Antoinette carried her pet Papillon (http://zooclub.biz/papillon) with her to the guillotine, but don't give it's name.

The Papillon is believed to have descended from Spanish dwarf spaniel. The Papillon is one of the oldest breeds of dogs with a recorded history in Europe going back nearly 700 years. This breed was also known as Continental Toy Spaniel, or Squirrel Spaniel. The drop-eared variety of the breed was called the Phalene.

The word "Papillon" means "butterfly dog" in French. The breed was given this name due to their beautiful butterfly ears. It is believed that the name was given by Marie Antoinette who was fond of Papillons. Other famous owners of papillons were Henry III, Marie Antoinette and Madame de Pompadour. In the 17th century these dogs were extremely popular in court circles in France. They were also portrayed in many paintings of the Renaissance period.
