i 've known my best friend who i consider my sister for about 9 years now. Recently we just got into on of our famous fights over something ridiculously stupid, and although I'm not speaking to her right now, i know all i need to do is pick up the phone and she'll be there for me, no matter what or how much time passes. We decided a long time ago that we would never let anything get bet tween use, and if one of us felt that we needed some time away from each other , that wouldn't be enough to erase our past. it's an amazing feeling to have someone in your life who knows you better than you know yourself. But it's also a lot of work, especially with girls, you know how catty we can get at times. Best friends have come and gone in my life but she has been there for me since elementary school, although we don't hang out every day, sometimes we go weeks without speaking to each other. She is my sister by chose and i love her.

yes i have/do feel that way. I am wondering if my life will continue to revolve around my fiancee or will i find a girlfriend to hang out with... you're walking on dangerous ground... when i say that, i mean... even though you love him, he doesn't want you around all the time. when he wants to go hang with his buddies, he doesn't want to feel that he's leaving you out or that you're sitting at home waiting for his call or whatnot. i know you said you want a friend, maybe you could look up an old girlfriend that you haven't talked to in a while or go to a club, or introduce yourself to a neighbor your age. it's good that you're looking for a female friend, i congratulate you on that... because if you were looking for just any friend you may introduce yourself to the jealous side of your man that they all have... it's genetic though, so if you've already dealt with this and he's shown jealousy, it's just a part of how they're programmed. A close female friend is very very special. They don't always have to come from outside of your family. Maybe if you look closer to the people you already know you can cultivate the kind of friendship you're looking for.

It seems like we are in the same boat. It's really hard to find a trustworthy friend. My best friend lives in a totally different state than I do, so communication is kind of hard. But, we have managed to be friends for about 10 years. Feel free to e-mail me. I know what you are going through!

I'm the exact same way. When I moved to my current town, I met him first and never really had a chance to make female friends. I love my bf and consider him my best friend, but it's nice to have women to talk to.

close friends are not coming that way close friend is becomes with whom you will share your every movement that will be sad or glad that's not impportant but you have share with her. close friend is that person to whom you will tell that things which you can't tell your boyfriend or any other person because you know that ur friend will understand you.

yes i know how you feel...iwould like a close freind to i used to have a few but they could not be trusted one wanted to sleep with my husband and one did....so i find it very hard to trust other women...i do know not all women are like that but i seem to attract them...or my husband does...it would be nice to have a friend you could get close to and trust...keep trying im sure you will a close friend ship soon....good luck
