Yes. It happens but it gets very confusing. I have uncles and aunts older and younger to me. I also have a niece almost my age on my dad's side. My great-grandparents (mom's side) had 12 kids and my grandmum was the 2nd oldest and she got married and had kids. My great-grandmum had 4 kids the same time my grandmum had 4 kids...so that's how it got started!

Sometimes situations like this happen and it is not within your control. So, I would say that it is okay for one to be older than his/her uncle. But at the same time, if I were older than my uncle, I may feel a little funny

My daughter is older than my brother (her uncle). It's odd, yes, but there isn't anything wrong with it.

Sure.As a matter of fact ,if you are about the same age and run around together it works as a great conversation starter.

IMO, I don't think that it should be called "uncle". I think that it should be called "cousins". But what are you gonna do bout it... Not your fault...
