What is the weather like in Iowa at this time of the year? Is it hot?

It might be slightly different from one area to another, but in Des Moines, it is hot with temperature expected to reach 98 on Wednesday. But it would get down to 77 on Friday after a thunderstorm passes by on Wedensday and Thursday. The sky would remain partly cloudy to mostly sunny until next Tuesday when another thunderstorm is expected. Temperatures get as low as 61 and as high as 79.

VERY hot the last few days. over 100 with the heat index. Usually not that bad, but it can be this way for a few weeks.
