1962- Russia and America meet head to head in the Cuban Missile Crisis; Russia backs down and leaves the west.
1979- The Shah of Iran is ousted, and the country falls into revolution. American citizens are taken hostage, causing a showdown that lasted more than a year. Iran continues being controlled by a bad regime.
1989-The Soviet Union collapses in eastern Europe. the Cold War is finally over, but America's relations with Russia get no better.
1992-Iraq is dangerously close to developing nuclear weapons. Israeli air force flies into Iraq at night and takes out their nuclear factory.
1994- The Mogadishu Mistake. American troops pull out of Somalia after an embarrassing battle; Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden calls the American military a "paper tiger".
2001: Al Qaeda is finally brave enough to attack America head on. they launch their attack on Sept 11
2006: Iran and North Korea are dangerously close to developing nuclear weapons.
