Please answer!!! Ever since I watched that movie "dawn of the dead" its really been bugging me!

technically, zombies are real. not your dawn of the dead walking, actually, running to eat your ribs for breakfast kind of zombies. there have been accounts of self-proclaimed vaudan priests or priestesses in haiti who use some sort of drug, which i can't remember the name, on people. the effects of the drug supposedly slow the heart rate just enough that people believe you are dead. you slip into a coma like sleep.
in some cases the person is actually buried, but then "raised" from the dead. pretty much making them zombies. in eastern europe they would be called vampires. i remember watching a few years ago a documentary on the discovery channel of a suspected priest and his zombie helper. they don't really do evil things. the guy pretty much walks around like he doesn't hear you. hence the word zombie.
dawn of the dead is a freaky movie, but good. it has a lot of political statements. they just add in the gore and sex to get your attention.
watch the movie the serpent and the rainbow. pretty descriptive on zombies and voodoo. the great actor bill pullman plays the lead.

Yeah they are real. In Haiti and some other countries that practice voodoo - they have a process to turn people into Zombies. However, they are not Zombies like in that movie you are talking about.

Actually yes. But not like in that movie. Check out Haiti and their VooDoo religion. Interesting stuff.
Of course, you still might want to know how to shoot a gun. Just in case of brain-eating zombies.

I haven't seen any zombies. That is all done by computer and people in costumes. There won't be any brain eating zombies knocking on your door anytime soon. If you do start seeing them you should call a doctor ASAP!

Please! Surely you know better. But I have heard that there is some black magic ritual that makes people act like zombies, so don't go to any island where they practice it or you may be there for life as a zombie slave.
