It shows how many people have visited your blog page, is there a way to tell who they are?

Sort of. You need to install some html code that tracks IP addresses. You can get a free counter from statcounter.com. The statcounter will tell you how many hits you got, and where each one came from (city and state), as well as a bunch of other info. It can't give you personal information, but if you're savvy enough and apply some detective skills, you can figure out which ones are your friends and family and which ones are strangers.
