I got pregnant with my 3rd child while having a copper IUD in place. My son is now 17 months and is healthy. I just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else and if so what was the name of the IUD.

My sister-in-law became pregnant with a paraguard IUD in place. The IUD killed the baby. Very sad. And my sister-in-law was in pain and had some bad bleeding.
There are multiple risks associated with IUD's and the risks are not just limited to the woman, but to children she might conceive.
It's good to hear your son is healthy!

i have a friend that did get pregnant while using the IUD... but i didn't know there were differnt kinds and she never used a type or brand name. i know her pregnancy ended in a tubal pregnancy and she lost one tube though!
