If not now, which era?

I would love to live in the Renaissance era. A time when women dressed in long gowns and wore long hair that cascaded down their back. A time when beauty was not determined by how thin you are. Instead a full busted woman with round hips was considered healthy and desirable. A time when gentlemen bowed and kissed a ladies hand upon meeting. Unlike today, so many men find it acceptable to say inappropriate things. It is more pleasing to a woman to be treated with respect.
This also being a time when people placed more value on their family and homes. For certain they worked hard perhaps harder then we do. However, there was more pride in ones work. Look at the art and structures from that era. They did not rush through things, slapping together homes or painting several strokes on a canvas and call it art.
I love the Art Nouveau Period as well!

While it's easy to romanticize other eras, I'm a paraplegic living with spina bifida...so, anything prior to the mid 60's and I'd be dead. So, I'll be happy where I am.

Although we have many conviences today, I would have liked to live in the 1940-50's. People seemed to care more about each other then and family was important. There wasn't so much hate and voilence in the world.

Is living in a previous time with today's knowledge possible? As long as you weren't killed for being a witch, you'd be a great inventor and investor.

Due to recent flooding in my area, we went without power or, ironically, water (well-water, no electricity to run the pump = no water) for 3 days. No lights, email, tv, radio, ac; couldn't do laundry, dishes, take a shower, or flush the toilet without bringing in a bucket of water from my son's little pool...
I'd never make it as a pioneer!!!

I would love to live in the matriarchal, pre-Jesus days, where Paganism ruled the Earth, in all her glory. Good times, man. Good times.

I'd rather live in a time where people actually respected other people's beliefs, whether they are Christian, Jewish, or whatever.

The future, but only if it's like "Star Trek," not if it's like "The Handmaid's Tale." It would be okay if it were like "Blade Runner."
