Both were totally awesome comedic groups, and definite masters of slapstick comedy, but I have always favored the 3 Stooges over all, mostly due to Curly, of whom made the 3 Stooges as popular as they were, and still are to many people, especially me:)

The Marx Bros were far wittier than the Stooges. The Stooges just did stupid slapstick.

Marx Brothers. Stooges were just slapstick and very violent stupidity.
The Marx brothers put together wry humor and the most outrageous skits connected to a movie with an actual plot. The brothers were never yer elephant and were masters of in yer window...
