i use to ride my bicycle a lot. I use to think it was neat when after a long day of riding i would come home under the light of the moon and end my journey with the front tire of my bike within one inch, wthout looking, of the step to my place. I associated the moon with a feeling of home. It felt like a parent or girlfriend or bed or car or friend or anything that feels like home.

While answering this my computer is playing a song by Yonder Mountain String Band called 'half moon rising'. coool

I let loose my raven black wings and take flight into the starry nite sky towards the misty silver moon. Soaring over the mirror like lake beneath and stopping just to take in the cool night air and feel the swirling clouds ruffle through my feathers and hair.
Stretching out my hands to touch a falling comet, I start to loose bearings as I plummet to the ground...and into my soft fluffy bed...and once more I shall dream a dream under the light of the silvery moon.

Sat on the back of a beautiful horse leaning back to a laying position just watching the lightning over the hills, surrounded by coyotes calling and acres and acres of wilderness,
the sky turned red and pink where the mountains met the sky, then the powerful thunder would startle me, outrageous power....
I held the heck on and ran for home...
This is honestly true. Amazing that so many of you live in the city, and never get to see what i am surrounded in every minute of every day.

Walking on the beach under the moonlight was the most amazing thing I've done. It was so Serene and beautiful to see the coast under nothing but the moonlight.

Well, when we were still dating, I told my (now) husband that he shouldn't kiss me until he knew for sure he loved me. (we had been discussing how slow we should go)
One night, walking on a dirt road, under the light of the silvery moon, he kissed the livin daylights out of me. :-)
Good times.

For me, it wasn't sex at all. After I had lost my job the man I was seeing led me into the backyard, stood behind me with his chin resting on my shoulder, arms wrapped around me, pointed up, and said, "Look." When I asked him, "Look at what?" he then pointed out how the full moonlight was playing on the leaves and branches of the trees. He then said, "Isn't it beautiful? I thought you might enjoy seeing it." He then kissed my cheek, and we stood there for a moment enjoying the moment. It brought a sense of peace over me at a time when it was greatly needed. I will hold that memory near my heart for as long as I live. We are now husband and wife. ;)
