FitN, I've been active on the site for more than half a year now. So that contributes quite a bit to my overall score. I also try to answer questions well which also helps toward my best answer percentage. However, there are many other users with a higher percentage of BA's than I have, so they are answering quite well in their chosen categories, too.

For the other answerer, the 'points this week' stat is still not correct so that does not properly indicate how many questions anyone has asked in one week. This has been an ongoing bug for several weeks and has yet to be fixed. Hopefully it will start to reflect reality soon.

Seems to me that its 6 months non-stop on Answers. Jane, too.

And "HOPE" you've just admitted to having a main account and this one that started yesterday (July 18). That's a violation right there. Just becuase you can't get more than 30% best doesn't mean anyone can't.

"they sometime use multiple accounts"
"this is where he watches questions"
"I have been watching them closely"
"I see two ppl padding back and forth"

You have no idea what you're talking about. You don't know who has clicked on a vote or not. You should read the stuff in the forum about all the crap that goes on here. It doesn't mean that Kevin, or Jane, or Richard or any of the high scorers or high percentages are cheating. Just because they get votes, and multiple votes, and lots of votes doesn't mean cheating.

"Many times they are the only answerers if not just one other."
Maybe nobody else answers because one or two good answers are already there?

Sure sounds like you're being quick to cry 'cheating'. That's a violation, too, you know = "insulting other participants".

Yes it is a form of cheating if you ask me. He does what is called point padding and pasting saved answers into low volume questions.

Point padding:
this is where he watches his questions that go into voting... an incredible amount of users don't select best answer. Once the answer goes into voting, they sometime use multiple accounts to only TIE. Whey only tie? Because they don't want to win yet... you can be suspended for that. So why go into a tiebreaker? Because 99% of users don't keep up with those answers past the first phase of voting.

Low volume answering:
This is where they pick areas that have the least amount of answerers. For example, yahoo answers category or the like. Many times they are the only answerers if not just one other.

How do I know they do this? I have been watching them closely for a few weeks now on my main account. You should watch some of them... it's amazing. When an answer is in voting you cant see who they are yet.. answerer1 etc.. and I will keep notes on who is who. Every single time, I swear everytime, when I see two ppl padding back and forth like a sparring match, when the vote is over, they are from the high scorers. Also, not necessarily the highest scores but also the ones with highest rank of best anwsers per category.

I've been watching a lot of them and from my experience with answers, anybody who has more 30% best answers in comparison to their total, I'd be willing to be tons they are point padding with multiple accounts.

Hope that explains it to you.

I wont say that he is cheating, but I don't believe that he is the only one using his account...for him or the 2 top person...maybe there wives or husbands are answering questions and helping out, but there is no way that they can answer as many question that they do in a weeks time!! If they do then they have NO life other than the computer!!

I heard if you accuse him of cheating he will hack you and steal all your points and that's why he has so many points!
