Your metabolic rate changes thus you do tend to secrete oils and sebums quicker. Also your sense of smell is hyperstimulated in pregnancy and the littlest smell is detectable and sometimes things you found nice to smell arent in pregnancy.
Use a male or sport deodorant
Pack some baby wipes and give your armpits and groin a little wash at lunch time then reapply deodorant.

I think an overactive nose is more to blame than overactive sweat glands.
When I am pregnant, I can smell everything. The bacon grease that dripped onto the stove top 4 days ago.....the BO of the guy who is standing across the counter from me at the store. GEEZ, it really made me ill. I even started hating the smell of my husbands Hugo cologne, so much that it made me puke. Still when he tries to wear it, I tell him I can't stand it because the sense of smell has a powerful memory, and it starts making me nauseated again. LOL!
Pregnancy plays funny tricks on you. But it will pass.
Congrats on the baby-to-be!

It could be several things. First of all, pregnant women become more sensitve to smells. Secondly, it could be that you're sweating a little more because a pregnant woman's fluid volume increases dramatically. Thirdly, when many women are expecting there's a constant vaginal discharge. So, yes, you may just have to shower more or maybe you could put on lots of talc or cornstarch after showers. Don't douche when pregnant, though!

okay so i know i have never been pregnant before and i am young but here goes: its just normal probably just an over reactive gland like you said and i doubt it will go away so just shower twice a day or wear perfume that doesnt make you sick. i think it is suppose to go away sometime in the next month i am not so sure but if you have books it will definitely be able to tell you when it is most likely to go away or wear off some what.

No it is just That you are more sensitive to smells. Trust me it will go away. A lot of the symptoms go away after the 4th month. But if it doesn't go away and it is effecting your life make an appointment with the obgyn before you use ANYTHING on your body. Good luck sweetie and congrats on the new addition.

Pregnancy does CRAZY things to your body. I have had four healthy wonderful babies, but there is one book you must go out and buy tomorrow....go to Walmart
What to expect when your expecting
Best book ever! I never had a problem (all my pregnancies had different symptons and problems) that this book didn't have the answer. It is a must. After my fourth birth it looked like a well worn bible. It is THE BEST PREGNANCY BOOK. It is well worth the 10.00 it will cost you.
Good luck

Your hormones are doing all sorts of weird things now. I've never had that happen, but I guess anything is possible. Good Luck with your baby.
