I have an iBook G4 that I bought last year. The new Macbook sounds real good, is it worth buying the newer model? I do use my laptop everyday.

I am answering you from a Macbook Pro with the core duo processor (2 Ghz). It is very very fast. I also have a two year old iMac 20", which is much slower than my Macbook. I prefer the Macbook Pro (16.7") for every day use. The screen size and quality are excellent and very nice for extended use. The key board is great. And it is very fast, did I mention that already?

Also I have installed Windows for certain technical software I need. Duel booting works perfectly. It is like getting two laptops for the price of one.

OS X is rock solid and extremely elegant. But then I am a long time mac user. My first mac was the 128K machine.

The Macbook is not cheap but it is worth every penny in my opinion.
