I'm a psych major and I'm doing a study as to how the media's view of the "perfect mate" differs/relates to realistic qualities that one values & looks for. I have no standards and I count gender -as- a standard. All I really want in a lifemate is someone that won't kill me in my sleep. I don't think I'd mind being beaten or abused because I'm sure that's the sort of thing I'd blame on myself. It would save me from the constant unending loneliness though.

I am a married woman who has found my life mate and what made me choose him was his ability to communicate with me about his expectations and for me to tell him mine. We compromise on the biggest and smallest of issues... we value each other as people. We laugh. I almost passed away 2 1/2 years ago and I know that now we value each day we have even more... we spend time in each others presence every chance we have.

I am a female, and I'm hoping my life mate (a male) will love me for my beautiful soul. I am a heavy set woman, and I want my mate to accept that, and love me for my personality. I know alot of men only like girls who are skinny, but I'm hoping God will bless me with a man who doesn't feel that way. I am sweet, smart, and I would never cheat. I feel if a man wanted me I would be honored and do everything I can to show him how much I care and appreciate him wanting me for my personality. Basically I want a man who accepts me for being a beautiful big woman.

I'm a girl and i like guys. Girls like guys to give them attention or Guys like Girls to give them attention. That attracts them to one another now after attracted i look for someone that's very similar to me. I've found the more similar the more you have to talk about with one another and the easier it is to relate to each other.
