You can drill five 1/4 inch diameter holes at the base of the tree and fill the holds with pure Roundup (use the 42% solution which cost about $30 for 32 ounces (1 Quart). This may take up to several weeks to kill.
The problem you will have is that a dead (dry tree) is much more difficult to cut because the wood will dry.
The best thing is to cut the tree down at the base and treat it with Roundup as indicated above.
A cheaper way is to just cut the tree at the base and keep cutting any “shouts” that start growing out. This way the tree will die in about 18 months.

First drill a hole down into the base of the tree. 1/2 inch wide and all the way down and in toward the center. then fill with lye.

Why would you kill a tree just so you can watch tv? Thats like shooting someone in front of you cuz you cant see over their head. what is your problem? Just put the dish somewhere else or get cable.

MY EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN THAT ITS EASIER TO CUT A LIVING TREE THAN A DEAD ONE. GREEN ONES ARE SOFTER AND DONT NEED KILLING. THEY CHOP UP BETTER IN A WOOD CHIPER, TOO.
