Locate the floor joists or wall studs and bolt right to them...if they line-up. A quick way would be to lag-bolt it right to the floor. Use the biggest lag-bolts that fit the safe. Get washers, too. Start the hole with a hammer and spike and maybe drill a little pilot -hole so its not so hard to turn them down. You will need a wrench or socket to turn it. For security, you could round-off the heads of the lag-bolts so they won't accept a wrench anymore...(an angle grinder would be a quick, but messy way to do this)...

The truly correct way would be to get a contractor or tradesman in there to open up the area and add bracing or a solid fixture that you could secure it to.

You can't bolt anything with carpet, you need to use bolts.

depending on the type of safe i'd imagine. if the safe isnt predrilled or if it doesnt have mounting brackets/holes you could check with the manufacturer to find out if any are available.
at least to do it within thier specifications.
