Wax makes the car shiny. Shiny is important to people. Its the reason gold and diamonds are worth so much. The most protected piece of property in the world is Fort Knox, and thats because thats where they keep the shiny stuff. Shiny is important to human beings. Very important. Mmm... Shiny...

The wax protects your cars finish. It makes it easier to clean the following time too.

You need to wash your car and rinse it before you wax it. You need to dry it as well. There are many different brands to choose from. I use the Wax as you dry products. (I don't go through the automatic car washes) So when I dry my truck down I use a product that waxes as I am drying. It so easy to use. And it makes my truck look so nice.

personally I think the spray on wax is a gimmick. Common sense suggests to me that it's ineffective. The purpose of
wax is to protect your paint. Protect it from the elements,
and protect from rocks and bugs. To achieve this protection
you will have to coat your car with hand wax, and then buff it off.
Do it often.

It protects your paint. It makes it shine. Most waxes you put on with a damp applicator then buff it off with a dry towel.

The reason for the wax is to protect the paint from UV and also to dissapate water and stop it spotting your paintwork.
