Can you be white and say that your african american if your family and you were from africa, I mean, why couldn't you??

"White" or "Black" refers to race, whereas "African" or "American" refers to continent or country. There are plenty of white Africans (from South Africa in particular). The popular usage of the term "African American" refers to those who are of the black race. You could certainly be a white American, with parents who immigrated from South Africa, and call yourself African American. Although you would be technically correct, it would be misleading to most people.

No reason why not. I once worked with a white medical resident who was from S. Africa. We all joked that if he were to settle in the US, he'd be African American.

Yes. Very possilbe. Most of the people of South Africa are actually white. Blonde hair, blue eyes. You would never know unless you knew something about Africa. But yes.

Take an Anthropology course you uneducated person you! By the way, Egyptians are Caucasoid ( or what you would refer to as white). So the answer is yes. And yes all those British imports.
