Hi, I am 20 years old and have had 2 periods within 11 days. I sometimes skip months inbetween periods. For example, I had my period early may, then nothing in june. my 1st period this month started July 1 and ended July 5. Yesterday, July 16, i noticed a bit of blood. It seemed to have gotten worse today. Seems to be nothing other than my period. But of course, i am still a bit worried about having 2 cycles so close together. If anyone could help, please, please do. Any information is great. I am especially more worried, because i am leaving for vacation Friday [it is Monday night as of now.]

THANK YOU in advance!!

That actually happened to me when I first went on Birth Control pills...it was an effect from them, I stopped taking them after a short period....so if you're on BC, that may be the problem, especially if it's new for you. As someone else said, it could be a funky period in general, but it's still not really natural to bleed that much in that short of a period....go see a gyno just to make sure.

It sounds hormonal.

The #1 hormone - because it can affect the production of all the other hormones - is insulin. Ask your doctor for a fasting insulin blood test . Ask for a copy of your results. 10 or higher is abnormal for an adult.

Also ask for a saliva test. This test will tell you if any of your feminine hormones are not at the best levels. I do not like doctors who prescribe hormones for feminine irregularity without testing first. When that happened to me - the shot he gave me switched me from low blood sugar to diabetes.

Your symptoms could be related to low blood sugar or polycystic ovaries (a condition linked to high insulin). You may want to check out www.hufa.org, and click on the symptoms link to check yourself out.

This is a sign to go in to the OBGYN and get checked out to see what is going on with your cycles and your hormones. I would be worried as well... is there any history of endometriosis or ovarian cysts in your family?
Ask your OB to get you in for bleeding, and see if they can run some blood work or ultrasounds to figure things out for you.

hi. i imagine you ought to nicely be over stressing about this. because you're taking your birth control at the same time each day, then its a very small, slender probability that you'll get pregnant. birth control pills have a very small failure cost of one million %. in case you're previous due on your era, that could be rigidity suitable. and for the reason that your being pregnant checks were detrimental, its maximum probably your no longer pregnant. only loosen up, and wait and be conscious in case your era comes, it ought to seem interior the subsequent few days. and keep taking your birth control like wide-spread.
