I bought an outfit a long time ago that I couldn't wear. (gained some weight) why do I still have it in my closet? What are some of you purchases that didn't quite work out for you??

I occassionally buy clothing or household items and never use them. My weight fluctuates a lot, because of illness. So I'm always hoping to fit into something. But eventually I end up donating the clothes to charity. The items are usually on sale; an item that I just can't pass up. I usually keep the item for about 2 years, and then painfully let it go.

I used to be a hoarder, I have enough clothes to last me for years, as we have 4 seasons hear & I save these things from year to year; I still have things that I can't part with. Some shoes leave you limited, to what you can wear them with, then when you do have the opportunity to wear them, you choose something else only because that's how you feel at the moment; so you keep them. Sometimes I look at a seasonal outfit and think that it is for an old lady, then put it back & it stays in the closet, only because it is a style that never goes out of style, but I still haven't worn it, maybe tomorrow! I guess I just have too much stuff.

I used to, but then I grew up and realized what money actually is. Now, I don't leave the store until I've tried it on and really thought about when/where/why I would wear it. I worked at a consignment shop for a while, and women would bring in some really expensive stuff with the tags still on. Made me sick.

oh i buy shoes ALL the time at this store in the mall. The shoes get to as cheap at five dollars a pair. So I buy them up and never ever wear them!

I sell them on ebay the next season if I cant seem to find a matching outfit.

All the time...i have a habit of buying shoes on sale and shirts. I usually buy shoes I really like, which are usually some nice heels, but I never end up wearing them cuz im 5'6'' but feel super tall and self-conscious when I wear heels. I always buys shirts and end up earing them only once cuz i'll go to the store again and see a shirt I like better then buy that one and wear it once then go to the store again....and the cycle repeats....

I have a Burberry Polo. It wasn't expensive (~$70) considering it was Burberry. I haven't worn it because it's too designer even for my private school.

I have a Carmello Anthony jersey that I never wore because it's too small, and I never went to a Denver game.

I have an authentic South African national Rugby team jersey that my dad bought me when I was like 6. It'll be worth something someday.

Yes! Same reason - I gained some weight and it just didn't look as good on me. Mostly shirts and pants ... and they are still in my closet! I can't get rid of them yet, as I might lose weight and wish I'd have them.

I bought a lot of clothes that i never wore cause I don't feel comfortable in them or I forget about them. But most of the clothes that i don't care about are not that expensive.

A lot of times. After I get it I decide I don't like it and for whatever reason either never return it to the store, or it can't be returned to the store.
