try using photobucket.com, you create an account, upload your pics and from there you can resize them (by clicking 'edit' underneath the pic once you download it). It's free, I've used their site for about a year now and have had no problems.

once you've done that, it'll give you a list of links to the pic, I believe the one that starts 'tag' is the one you use for myspace so that the pic will appear on your page or in comments.

well u could open the pic in microsoft paint and use the stretch/skew option in image at the top. just lower the percent on the horizontal and vertical options until u have ur desired size. i have irfan view and it works fine i dont understand how u got a virus from this.

Irfan view doesn't bring virus's to your computer. I've used it for years. No problems. Great free program.

Maybe try photobucket. It's a little difficult because you can't resize the pictures by hand. Instead you can make them smaller by 75, 50, and 25%

why don'T you try using a program to resize picture..
i think with picasa, it shouldn't be too hard to do
check on www.google.com in the tools section...picasa is there and it's free
