I buy a composition notebook and get some found items and decorate the cover to personalize it.

I think a regular composition book is better because a journal is about what's inside on the pages, not what it looks like on the outside. Besides, if you got the obvious Claire's journal, someone will know it's your journal and sneak a peek.

If you are wanting to keep it forever to show your kids and so on. Get a nice pretty one. If it's just to write in thoughts for no one else to read. Just get a notebook.

whatever suits your style, for me i would like the ones from bookstores. they look more down to earth. it is something i would like to put my thoguths down in, not something that has feathers and sequins

we have this little store in nc called tuesday mornings and it has the nicest cheap journals you can find i love them !

i wud say reg. composition book. or really just a notebook because wat if u mess up and u want to rip pages of ur life out?

depends on what's in it and how long you plan on keeping it....there all good...for long term book store...
