A history major in college will allow you to have the following jobs:
teacher, proffessor (if you get a Ph.D), "historian", author, researcher, etc.

Most colleges have huge selections of history related majors and minor. There is anything from the general "World History" to specifics such as Italian Language History. Basically, you can take history classes on anything in history.

Courses in history...there are many! Each school is different so you would have to look at your course catalog and see what is offered. Jobs for someone who likes history: museunm curator, museum worker, history professor, teacher, you can take it a step further and go into politics. Not just as a politician but maybe someone who assists the senators or govenors make decisions by researching issues. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.
