There's no good reason for cheating if you ask the person who's being done wrong. Although, this same person may not be interested in trying to work on fixing or working with you to fulfill your needs in the relationship if they have been approached on the problem. The least you can do is give them a chance to take care of the issues which may cause cheating before it happens. If they aren't willing to do this, then they are asking for trouble.

People cheat because they aren't getting their needs fullfilled at home. Now I am not talking about just basic lust needs although that is part of it. People by nature need to feel wanted, loved, cherished, respected, and loved. If we don't feel that way we are going to go out looking for someone who is going to make us feel that way. I have seen more people cheat on their partners because of these simple reasons. Knowing that someone else finds them attactive and worth while is priceless. It usually doesn't mean that they don't love the person that they are married too. Just unhappy. Most of this can be prevented with good comunication and comprimise. Girls don't think that your men will just sit at home for long periods of time jacking off because you don't want to have sex. Men express love and emotions in physical ways. They are also more apt to think that you are having an affair due to the lack of physical intimacy.

I honestly felt I had a valid reason for cheating on my husband. He refused to have sex with me or show me any affection whatsoever. He did this to "punish" me for any little thing I did wrong in his eyes. He wouldn't have sex with me for years. I craved physical touch. I told him over and over if he wasn't intimate with me I'd have to have sex with someone else, it's a basic human need.

I had talked to him repeatedly about this. Can't say I didn't warn him. I asked him to leave, get a divorce, etc etc. He wouldn't leave or agree to divorce. He was selfish and abusive in every way possible. So I ended up having an affair. I don't regret the affair, I regret getting married to someone who treated me that way.

no. it's always better to end the relationship before you end up with someone else. if you've been cheated on, you know how it made you feel when you found out. imagine what the other person feels like when they find out you cheated. cheating on someone also damages your reputation, others may view you as untrustworthy.
