You can buy it over the counter..be careful with it tho it can eat your stomach lining and harm your liver if used too much.

You can by smaller doses of it over the counter (200 mg tablets) but sometimes for more serious problems, doctors will prescribe the same stuff, but at higher doses which you can only get from the pharmacy (like the 600 mg tablets-which look like horse pills) Target, Shopko, WalMart, and other retailers, even larger grocery stores, sell the smaller dose of ibuprofen over the counter. Hope you find what you're looking for!

a side note: regardless of what dose you get, take ibuprofen with food and not on an empty stomach or you'll get a stomach ache!

You can get it off the shelf at almost any store in the 200mg version. There is also an 800 mg version that you have to have a prescription for.

Both. You can buy it off the shelf generic as Ibuprofen or Motrin. You can also get prescription ibuprofen for stronger dosage, which I don't recommend having had a near death experience from taking it, and many people have died from it.

Ibuprofen is available over the counter as well as prescription. If you purchase this over the counter, the tablets or capsules are 200mg each (also know as Motrin as the brand name). If you obtain a prescription, it is available as either 400mg, 600mg or 800mg tablets. Depending on your state, Medicaid may pay for over the counter drugs. If so, a prescription would be needed so that it would be paid for, even though ibuprofen 200mg is over the counter.

It's Advil. That's all. They do have a prescription strength though....800mgs. It's the same as taking 4 regular pills. I don't advise it, however, unless your doctor tells you to. If you are looking for a natural pain killer then I would suggest White Willow Bark. It's available at any vitamin or natural stores. Take care and I hope you have an amazing week!

Ibuprophen can be bought on the shelves. the prescriptions are given for the 800 and 600 miligrams. Usually Walmart will sell two boxes for the price of one.

Over the counter at any store. It comes in 200 mg tablets. Tablets over 200mg are prescription. Brand name is Motrin, but most stores have their own generic ibuprofen tabs.

Ibuprofen is an OTC drug. (Over the Counter) I take 4 200mg pills whenever I get a bad headache. But be carfeul -- don't OD!

You can just buy it off the shelf, it's pretty reasonably priced too.

Also, FYI, it's spelled Ibuprofen... might come in handy if you're looking for it in the store.
