Aw man that's like asking what's your favorite Ice Cream. Each Beatle made a special and unique contribution to the group... Paul was the "pleaser", John the rebelious dreamer, George the introspective thinker and Ringo brought fun and balance to the group. Even as solo artists it would be tough to pick one favorite Bealte - Paul as the consumate commercial hit maker - John intelligent poet - George master musician and spiritual focal point and Ringo the happy spirit of the rock n' roll.

Has to be John Lennon.

First of all...it would have to be either John or Paul, as a rule, since Lennon/McCartney was the biggest force in modern music composition, ever.

However, John was much more free-thinking and visionary than Paul ever was. John's signature voice, granny-glasses, and snide synicism gave the Beatles the personality they needed to become the most influential music act in history.

john lennon. he was the original beatle; he was always a step above the others talent-wise. he was completley brilliant, and his songwriting capabilities proved that to be true. simultaneously, he was witty and intelligent and didn't give into conformity. lennon was never afraid to push the buttons of society. this is especially clear with his anti-war sentiment during vietnam because he was one of the first celebrities to speak out against the war. he was a genius, and its a tragedy that he's not alive today.

As a musician, John. I'm sorry, I just love his solo work so much more than any of the other's. They all seem pretty cool as people, though.
