see the thing between Jeff and Matt at Bristol matt sput and wrecked jeff....Jeff SPUN matt out but he did NOT WRECK..that didn't happen till after jeff crossed the finish line. Does he want to blame that one on jeff too???? come on...look at what happened...did you really look at all the replays of that day?? I have and jeff was faster then matt and jeff just tapped him (as there was NO damage to jeffs front bumper on his car) and he spun out. NO damage to Matt what so ever so how can you say that it was revenge?? I don't think it was at all....ALSO matt was pretty much OUT of gas and even if jeff didn't get on him jeff probably would have won the race anyways. plus matt was blocking jeff and I really do think that matt KNEW that jeff was faster then him but was just being a prick

people don't always just throw stuff at jeff...when I was at the race at lowes last year when jimmie won he got stuff thrown at him too. heck I would have too but I was too far up and I didn't want to get kicked out for good.

Jeff should have kept his cool at bristol but matt should have also waited to appologise to jeff so on that I think it was both their faults....but you also got to look at all the other drivers who "lose their cool"...couple of examples...Robby Gordon and Mike waltrip, it was either kyle or kurt bush showing his **** and trying to attack another driver...(can't remember who it was cause I really don't care for kyle nor kurt) so don't just pick on jeff because of what he does....almost ALL the drivers get HOT and do stuff they shouldn't and they get pentalised for it

Was it justified ? No.Was it close enough to be called just racing ? Maybe.Does Gordon have the skill to have avoided hitting Kenseth ? You bet.Just like everyone else I've seen the replays over and over, yes Matt slowed down but a driver of Jeff Gordon's caliber should have been able to avoid hitting him period. In recent years Jeff has more and more often used the bumper to win races so it should not come as a surprise to any one when he wins that way. When you add it up here was a chance for him to not only win the race but also give Matt a little payback from Bristol. It looked to me like Jeff could have avoided Matt but chose not to.After reviewing the tape Nascar in their infinite wisdom did not penalize Gordon which again should not surprise anyone,Hendrick's Racing is after all Nascar's Little Darling's who can do no wrong.Jeff admitted after the race that Matt had blocked him a couple of times and that when he got another run on him he wasn't about to lift.I guess everyone must decide for themselves what that means. To me it means Jeff ran into Matt on purpose.

Nobody is ever justified in 'taking out' another driver. They both just need to forget about retaliations and show us that they can race each other on the track without incident. I would have held a much higher regard for Gordon if he would have just waited and got around Kenseth without contact.

Can we say DROP IT....Okay I can't stand Jeff Gordon, but Matt Kenseth's car blew and it blew like the damned wind. He wasn't going as fast as Gordo so he stayed right out in front to make sure Gordo couldn't pass him, he let off the throttle too much, what was Gordo supposed to do? Wreck himself because Kenseth was being a jackass? Kenseth's car hadn't been performing well for quite some time, he said so himself, and he wouldn't get outta the way...I say he asked for it.

I AM NOT A GORDON FAN AND IN FACT AM A STAUNCH EARNHARDT FAN TO BE HONEST,...BUT WHEN LOOKING AT THE REPLAY, GORDON DID NOT INTENTIONALLY TAKE HIM OUT,.KENSETH WAS RUNNING A LITTLE SLOWER THAN GORDON AND JEFF JUST GOT UNDER HIM AND TAPPED HIM,..NOTHING BLATANT ABOUT THAT,AND ESPECIALLY WHEN IT WAS PAINFULLY OBVIOUS JEFF HAD THE BETTER CAR BUT YOU ALSO HAVE TO BE HONEST IN RETROSPECT THAT KENSETH WOULD HAVE LOST THE RACE ANYWAYS BECAUSE HE RAN OUT OF GAS ON THE NEXT TO LAST LAP AND WRECKED,..GORDON'S PART WAS UNINTENTIONAL AT BEST,..AND BESIDES THATS ALL IN THE ART OF RACING AND I LIKE WHAT THE LATE GREAT DALE EARNHARDT HAD TO SAY WHEN ASKED ABOUT SOME OF HIS DRIVING TACTICS,...."THATS JUST RACING,...YOU GO WITH IT, OR YOU GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY!"

I have said this SO many times-I hate Gordon Im not siding with him but it wasnt his fault-Kenseth slowed up in the corner...So yeah-Jeff was justified-He won the race!

I don't believe so. I believe it was an accident when Kenseth bumped Gordon and he was man enough to try to apologize, but Gordon acted childish and pushed him and then took him out.

The replays didn't look like Jeff "took out" Kenseth. It looked like K slowed down and Jeff just got tired of waiting for K to get out of the way. He just tapped K to tell him to move it and went on to win. If Jeff hadn't done it, some people would have complained about that. You can't please a lot of people.

Gordon didn't "take him out", Kennseth was at fault too.
That is just good racing and it happens all the time. If it had been anybody else besides Gordon, it wouldn't even have gotten a mention on ESPN.

Kenseth did not get a good start coming out of the turn, Gordon did...........Earnhardt Sr. got away with it for years & nobody complained........But we are talking about Jeff Gordon, so let's everyone say he cheated....................YEAH RIGHT!!
