I don't have any reason why these songs describe Holden Caulfield but I'm going to give it a shot. NOTE: I can't list 10 songs.

For some reason I'm thinking of Runaway Train by Soul Asylum, maybe because he's trying to find himself but insted he's going farther away, like a one way ticket in the wrong way...
And maybe Wanted Dead or Alive, Bon Jovi, cause he's in trouble and he's kind of trying to run away from it.
Hope this helps. I mean if this is homework, it doesn't really matter what songs you put on therse as long as you give a good (thought out) explanation, which is a piece of cake. Make sure it look at least like it took some thought, that counts for a lot!
