I have windows 98 & I have internet service through AT&T, but I can't get my pc to establish the phone line right, any suggestions would be nice!

does it dial a number (the computer)
is the phone cord, in the proper place
are you dialing the area code, if so you probably do not need to
Control panel, connections/modems, un-install.....start over

Follow the wizard, make sure your phone cable is plugged to the phone jack and the computer.

First check the number your modem is dialing to be sure it's right.Then call customer service.

isnt at&t serices DSL. then you dont need to dial up. if it is dial up, go through the wizard . makesure whn it asks for the user name type in ur username@sbcglobal.net or whatever its @.!
