Sounds like migraine headaches. I get about one or two every six months or so, and it is horrible! Do you get sensivity to light and nauseous? You should speak to a doctor and maybe they can give you some painkillers like Vicadin or Percocet for when it gets really bad. there might even be a new medication for those with frequent migraines. If you can't see a doctor, then just take a lot of Ibproufen and turn off all the lights. Hope this helps...

I too get a really bad headache right before my period. It is your hormones changing which is causing this headache. I have learned that when I feel an onest of it coming I take a headache pain kill such as tylenol, alleve, advil, etc. It helps ease the pain but doesnt 100% get rid of the pain. However, when I was on birth control they subsided. If this is something that is causing disruption in your life, I would speak with a doctor about going onto birth control to help with the headaches.

*You get head aches when you over work your brain an when you over work your brain your body pumps more blood to your brain an when your body pumps more blood to your brain your vains in your head widen an constrict in an out to let an make the blood through an that causes the head ache !
I have a headache every day 24/7 but most of the time its never too bad .
I got it when i drunk like 4 - 5 beers i drunk them one or two each week , ruined my life , even more ! : (
I get the head aches when i try to think at the same level as i use to be able too , but now i cant because the synapse an synapse responders are no longer all interconnected because many many died ! (brain cells)
So a good way not to make your head ache worse is to never drink a drop of alcohol !
Tone down your thinking , you might be getting them for the same reason i did , because i was over working my brain !!
An don't take Tylenol or other drugs like that because all they do is make the veins in your head un widen , an when you use to much Tylenol your body gets use to it doing the un widening of your veins an you become addicted/dependent on Tylenol ! and or other drugs like it !
Alcohol does KILL BRAIN cells no question about besides the many many many other things it does .

Most likely they are a type of migraine. Instead of paying tons of $$ get the generic Tylenol (Acetaminophen), Advil (Ibuprofen), and Chlortabs (Chlorphanerlinemalieate sp?). You can get each of them at Wal-mart for like 2 bucks when you buy the bigger bottles (except the Chlortabs). They take away the headache and are easy on the stomach. It has most of the ingrediants of the more expensive stuff plus the Chlortabs. However the Chlortabs do make you drowsy but take the headache away. Hope this Helps. Ive gone to multiple doctors plus my mom is a nurse, and they all have prescribed this.

try bc powders, it's powdered aspirin, yucky going down and works fast. headaches could be stress, exhaustion, hunger, even allergies. if it is so bad you can't tolerate any sound or light and get sick(like puke), it is probably a migraine and you would want to see your doctor for something more potent. i like to use a cool eye mask and heat on the neck/shoulder area. you can put old fashioned uncooked rice in an old clean sock, tie the end and microwave for 1 1/2 - 2 minutes and apply to neck/shoulder area, this is moist heat and really helps, reusable, too. use cucumbers or a cold wet rag if no gel mask is available. good luck, hope you feel better!

I would suggest that if you went to see someone for medical help maybe first you should try a massage for the head. I'm a massage therapist and I would suggest going to get cranial sacral therapy or tibetan massage. The cranial is easier to find someone to do and the tibetan uses a little bit more pressure and seems to be more effective though. It isn't actually used on the head but it balances out your body and mind. Along with the head they both also help balance the body. You could also do some form of acupuncture.

You should think the opposite. What do you do not to get haedaches every month.
What a second. You are a girl. Girls always get "headaches".
Seriously though, if the headaches are really bad, you should see a doctor.

If you are female and you are getting monthly headaches
you are probably getting hormonal migraine headaches.
There are a variety of possible medical remedies, including
regulating your period and various prophylactic (preventative)
treatments.
I strongly suggest you see your doctor. This is a very common
problem and (in most cases) pretty easily solved.

Women usually get headaches related to their hormone levels and their monthly cycle. If a PMS medication doesn't help, try allergy medication like Claritin (or something like that). If that doesn't help, look at the amount of caffeine you consume. It's in coffee, tea, cola & chocolate.
