i recently gave birth 10 weeks ago (April 29 2006). I bleed for 2 weeks after that. Then 5 weeks(june 15 2006) later i received my period. Lasted for about a week. Now its July 17 and i still havent received my period. Is this normal to have an irregular period after birth? I took a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side it came out neg. I didnt breast feed (only for 10 days). So i just want to know is this normal??? or can it be something else???

one of the majore problems after giving birth is an irregular cycle. a lot of doctors recommend birthcontrol pills to help out with that. It's perfectly normal...but if it is something that is bugging you, just give your obgyn a call, often just a 3 min phone conversation can calm your nerves. I had the reverse problem, after my 1st child i bleed for 3 months straight..and this to was perfectly normal

It is normal. Your hormones are going beserk. If it is something that continues for more than a few more months, then you should see a doctor, but your body will get itself back on track.
Keep in mind, after child birth you had a two week period. It is normal to skip a period and it could just be late because of the two week period.

Hang in there, you are fine. :)

Yep, totally normal. Could be a few months til you start having truly regular periods again. Birth Control may help.

It can be if you started birth control pills or something. Otherwise I always had my periods after birth. I would take another pregnancy test. Good luck..you may need it lol.

double check with your gyno just to be sure. it could be normal as your body is adjusting to not being pregnant anymore

it takes a good year to get back to normal with that stuff.
