i think a relationship between a 21 year old n a 45 year old will work............if you love him n if he love you your relationship will work out. your relationship will last if you want it to , no matter what family n friends may think. it all about how you feel about that person.!!!!!!

I don't think that there can be anything between them because of the age difference. I have a friend and she's 18 and dating a 45 year old, i look at him as a pervert, because all that's on his mind is sex. 21 and 45 is a closer age difference, but i still think it's too big. what if you want to go to an amusement park, he might break a hip.

She is 21 and he is 45.
She at 31, he will be 55. He is starting to look old. "Is this your Father?" starts.
She at 41, he will be 65. She looks young but his age really shows.
At 51, he will be 75. She still looks young enough; he is downright old.
At 61 he will be 85. You are only starting to get old, he is practically in the grave.

Right now at 45 he still looks young. That won't last, and the disparity will become noticable and will widen significantly through the years.

He is 24 years older. He is old enough to be her father. He will really look like her father as he gets older and their ages appear further and further apart. The age difference is too much. Yes old guys are still attracted to young gals. That doesn't mean they should snag one. Not if the gal has any sense.

It may be possible for it to work. There are many factors to consider. First, there is the generation difference. Perhaps a cultural difference?
When you say "Can that relationship last?" What do you mean by that. Marriage?
If there are big differences now, they may get even bigger. Then again, maybe they can be worked out.

I am 46,just turned 46 last week,My daughter is 22 and my son is 21..I hope you are talking about Father -daughter realtionships, because if you are asking a question about a romantic relationship with that big of an age difference you must be completely out of your mind.
Of course it will not work. What are you thinking ?

No, My sister is living in this type relationship. The age difference is now he's 92 and she's 48. After 30 years and two children she realizes her mistake. Just say no, the mind starts to deteriorate and father time sets in.

Well lets see, my hubby and I are exactly 10yrs apart. I am the younger of the set. I met him when I was 18 and he was 28. At te begining we had some troubles. We split for a while, I sewed some wild oats and got back together. We have been together now for 15yrs.
It really depends on the maturitly level of the younger one. Sometimes it will work sometimes it wont. It is between the two of them and no one else.

It could last if it is just the age difference. But probably not if they have other big differences. Most relationships don't work if there are to many differences.

The relationship can last but it will have it's own share of troubles which start showing up after the love has flown away.Needs a great deal of understanding and common interest as well as commitment.
