The gayest city is Plainfield, NJ. Many gays have moved there in recent years. But the reason it's the gayest is because it's called "The Queen City."

San Francisco and Sydney seem the biggest gay cities for their size (less than 5 million people). London, Berlin and NYC are all mega-cities with big gay populations, while Amsterdam is a small city with big gay population

A few candidates...San Francisco, Amsterdam, Sydney, West Hollywood, Greenwich Village. I think SF because so much of the local business there is openly friendly for gay people.

Definitely Toronto in Ontario, Canada. There's a street devoted to all things GLBT... it's in "church street" and in fact in the tourist maps, it's called "Gay Village". ;o) Also, the Pride parade in Toronto is one of the biggest ever in the world and one of the three largest Prides in North America.
