What is the earliest memory you have from your childhood and how old were you?

I can remember things from when I was 2 and 3 years old but then there are chunks from my childhood that I think I refuse to remember
Can anyone else remeber that far back or farther?

Getting my first tricycle when I was 3. Holy crap, that was 30 years ago,lol.

I have done a little personal research on this topic and everyone I spoke to had a childhood memory from around 2 or 3 and most of the were negative. I wonder if that pans out across the whole species or just folks I was able to speak to. Interesting question!

I remember a trip where my parents and I drove out from San Diego, CA (where we still live) to Arizona to see my dad's Uncle Ed before he died. All I can remember is running around Uncle Ed's house (I was 3 or 4).

Second memory was when I was at Sunday School. For some reason unknown to me, I put my fingers in a doorway and some younger kid slammed the door on on one of them (for some unknown reason), causing the fingernail to break off.

The first thing I did was cry, "DADDY!" Of course, Dad came to the rescue and picked me up.

I'm almost 25 and I can still remember those events.

I remember being out i the country playing in a little swimming pool with my dads bird dog. I was probably 4. We moved to town when i was 5, so i am thinking i was 3 or 4.

My earliest memory was at 3 when my mother gave me a wet rag and asked me to wipe the basement stairs. I come from a tradition that women do all the housework and you start early very very early. I was not impressed.

I remember my father laying in bed reading a newspaper. His foot was in a cast. When I asked my mother when my dad broke his ankle, she said it happened when I was 18 months old. She was sure about it.

i remember when i was 1 i was on a plane and the only thing i remember was walking up and down the aisles in my new shoes and everyone was gushing over me.
