There is no reason to become prematurely connected with anyone. Date. Date a lot. Don't have casual sex. Spend a year or more dating, figuring out if that person is worth your time, your energy, your soul. No need for possesiveness, other than taking care of your own self while you figure out who that other person really is, and how that strikes you.

I wouldn't worry about it. Sometimes guys can be like that, they don't want you till someone shows some interest. Tell her to stay with her new boyfriend. Good Luck.
