i'm 22 and am not ready to have another baby i have a stable mate. so what should i do. yay or nay ladies

they're are two kinds of iud - one is has a plastic spring and the other a metal one. the one you mention is (I THINK) plastic; i use the other. i used to have periods that last a maximum of 3 days, now they last approximately 9 days. i also have migraines more often than i did. to top it off, i'm not as fortunate to lose the weight as i did with the other two pregnancies - when i wasn't on the contraceptive. it's all worth it though (with exception to that lady whose iud got "embedded" inside), i think, because i have less stress on getting pregnant. -- yay, here ---

No, The IUD is Not as good as doctors say, The periods are longer and the cramps are 50 times worse!, I had one for 3 years and when they took it out, it had embedded into my uterus!,

I'm on it, and it's great...You really do have to be monogamous(sp?)though, if you catch something(STD) your reproductive organs are seriously at risk...
