Have you checked the insulation in the ceiling & walls? Ceiling should be R30. You could be losing a lot of air and gaining heat if the insulation is low. If there is no insulation in your walls or floors, then you should increase the ceiling insulation higher than r30. Do you have insulated windows? Also check for leaks and such around your doors. If the system is new, I would call the HVAC contractor back to check it out, hopefully still under warranty. He can check the temperature coming out of the vent and know if it is working properly. If the air is coming out hard and cool, it is probably the insulation/roof/windows or the unit isn't large enough.

Run the ceiling fans whether you have the ac on or not to circulate air ,here in Florida, sometimes we have to set in a small widow ac in the opposite end of the house than the outside unit (which is usally a room that gets direct sun most of the day) and set it on low during the heat of the day. Itg is about circulation, heat absorbdion and btu s.

If this is a new installation the only thing that you should check is the filter in the air handler. The rest should be covered under warranty and checked by the installer or factory authorized technician.

Check all of your ductwork and seal all leaks at the junctions.
Next do the same at the vent openings.
Check the integrity of the air exchanger too for leaks.
Make all seals with aluminum duct sealing tape... not just plain cloth duct tape... that dries-out with time.
After that if it still doesn't improve, get a tech out to check your backpressure and circulation and suggest any corrective action you can take.

My only suggestions would be that it is not bif enough, which seems unlikely. you have a leak in the hose coming in the house or, it needs to be changed with freon.

You state that it is 'new'. Contact the installer or where it was purchased. Sounds like something not set correct, maybe low on gas...... whatever. If it is new warranty should fix it.

You could try replacing your thermostat controll, checking furnace filter, or just better insulating your house.
