He's 30 and just moved into his first apartment since divorcing. Kind of a sporty guy, but also somewhat "metro". We've only begun dating...so I want it to be meaningful, cute and fun, but not overly romantic. THANKS FOR THE ANSWERS!

Many guys need almost anything when they move out. Dishtowels, a plant (easy to care for), basic cooking utensils, or even a supply of paper plates and plastic flatwear might be appreciated. A gift card at a local restaurant or grocery store might be nice too. (This is definitely appreciated by younger guys). If your man is more established or refined wine, a more complex plant, or kitchen gadget might be appreciated. Pasta makers, coffee grinders, waffle makers, or something of the like might be appreciated. You know your friend best!

Find out what kind of Movies, Music or magazines he likes and buy them Or like with the magazines get a subscription to it for a year. Then every couple weeks or every month he will be remined how great he is!

If it is his first home, I always like a rechargeable drill. I think they are so neat and you can find tons of uses.
Also a good basic home repair book.
Gift Certificate to Home Depot or Lowes.
Door mat that says "Welcome"
Outdoor equipment (rake, snow shovel, hose, hose reel, garbage cans, patio chairs etc.)
Keep to basics, don't get into decorating.
