I have Windows XP SP2, and I ran a port scanning utility to see if I have any open ports. Port 68 was listed as "closed," is there anyway I can open it? I have went to my firewall options and added it as an exception, and then even went as far as to disable my firewall. It still says the port is "closed." Any help on opening it?

A program will automatically open and close it.

You can open it by making a program like in VB.

Are you planning to make a simple webserver, intranet program? If not then don't open it as you are inviting guest/intruder to your system, which is very dangerous.
