What do you think about girls or cultures that requrire u to ask her parents for permission first before dating her? Because as you all know the world's standards have decreased and I want to know if there are still people that believe in this type of custom/culture/tradition or what ever you wish to call it.

Hey its odd you mention that.....I lived in mexico for 3 years, and i met a "good" girl that came from a solid background, and after i asked her to be my girlfriend she said i had to ask her dad....her dad punted and told me to ask her mom....you know, honestly, i really think it speaks highly of the entire family and the girl...i wish i had not been a knucklehead and let that one get away

Its very respectful to the parents but what if they say no and she wants too then what you either leave it alone and hurt her or disrespect they even more than the respect you showed by askin them so that can leave you in a sticky situation. Also what if they are biased on who she sees like, no blacks or nobody that isnt rich or some other stupid sht. Also thats fuced up cause what about the boys why dosnt the girl have to ask the guys parents

This is true in Islamic society, and also, you are not allowed to have sex until marriage. The guy has to ask the girls parents for permission so that the parents check the guy out to mak sure their daughter is in good hands and also this is for respect.

when I was growing up any guy that wanted to date me had to ask my parents permission, I HATED it! BUT, I realized that a guy had to REALLY like me to ask my parents, it actually helped weed out some bad choices. I plan on teaching my four sons to ask permission prior to dating.

Due to the poor spelling and grammer in your question, I am assuming that you a very young. It is probably too soon for you to consider marriage. Wait until you get out of high school.

I see no problem with being considerate of the parents of the girl you wish to date, if you are scared say so.

I have mixed feelings about it. I respect various cultures and their beliefs, but I personally feel that once a person is a legal adult, they should no longer have to answer to their parents.

i think it is outdated, but very respectful. if you mean well with a woman, you will have no problem asking her parent if it is ok.
