wash it with hot water and dish soap.
Make sure the water isn't too hot or it might melt/dis-form the plastic. Scrub with a soft towel and dish soap should do the trick.
Using solvents on plastic can damage the product.

The easiest thing that I would suggest would be to use rubbing alcohol, or if that doesn't work, use a product from an auto parts store(Advance Auto) called Gum Cutter. I know that would work. I have heard people use vinegar & water mixture 1/2 & 1/2.

Spray some WD-40 on it then take the edge of an X-acto knife and carefully scrape off whats left.
This can be done without the WD-40 if you dont want a mess.

There's this stuff called Goo-B-Gone. I don't know where you get it from, probably Home Depot or Loew's, but I work at a department store and we use it to take sticky labels off things.

try putting some baby oil on a bounty and rubbing on it.
i had this problem yesterday, except i was trying to get wax off my legs (the candewax, not honeywax) and it worked really well!!!
you can also try peanut butter, rubbing it onto the vase.
good luck!!!

try baby oil, it really works and you just might have it lying around the house for some reason. You have to really rub to get it off, but it will come off.

Avon's Skin-So-Soft...which also takes tar off your car without killing the finish...

It also makes a great bug repellant!
