Some people can get a positive in as little as 10 days post ovulation, but waiting to test until at least 14+ days post ovulation or when you have missed your period would be more accurate.

Good Luck!

It makes a huge difference what kind of test. A blood test can most likely tell you within 7-10 days after sex, while a urine test usually has to be at least 14 days or so. I was 3 weeks along twice and got a + test.

A test turns positive when it picks up enough hcg in the blood and urine. With my son, my blood test came back positive at four weeks (a few days before my period was due). With this one, I used the clearblue digital test 5 days after my period was due, and it was positive. So it just depends on when your blood and urine have enough hcg.

I think I asked the doctor this and she said you have to be pregnant for at least two weeks for a urine test from the drs office to pick it up

depends when you fertalized. i would wait a week after your missed period and get a clinical test. those always work better. waiting a week after your missed period is recommended.
