Elton John is amazing, Liz Phair is cool for edgier music, The Fray and Jack's Mannequin are awesome new bands, some Carrie Underwood songs are great if you like country, The Black Eyed Peas and Gwen Stefani for funky music, and you can always try the free downloads on iTunes for up and coming artists.

Classic rock is always a crowd pleaser. Rolling Stones or AC/DC, Try Lynard Skynard (they also have a really good new album out, so does VanZant) I just love the VanZant song Taking up Space. If you have MySpace try finding some bands and playing their songs. A lot of them have some oldies but goodies and new ones too. Good Luck on Your Quest. :)

Well, my favorite song ever is "Simple Kind of Life" by No Doubt (hence my yahoo ID, haha) so I'd reccomend that. It's kinda depressing but it's a really good song. Lately though I've really been liking a song called "Portions for Foxes" by RIlo Kiley. I hope you like those two!

How's about some good ol' classics like Kitty Wells "Honky-Tonk Angels" or Buck Owens "Heartaches by the Numbers"??? Never hurts to rediscover ya'lls roots. PS: Free music is not free. You don't work for free and neither should I. Make sure Artists are being compensated for their efforts by BUYING rather than stealing their material...

Go to itunes.com and check out some of the celebrity playlists. The usually have some interesting suggestions, and you can sample the songs. Those celebrities have all day and all the money to check music out, they ought to have some great suggestions.
