I can suggest some materials for you to read or listen to.
Books:
Dinosaur Brains
Coping with difficult people
Tapes:
Working with jerks
There are always new books coming out on the subject, and the tapes are good to listen to. I especially liked "working with jerks". Most of these are available at the local Biz mart / Staples / Office Max / Office Depot. I recommend reading or listening to any one of these before you try any one tactic.

People like that don't listen to anything you have to say. It will take a life altering experience before he cares about anyones opinions other than his own. Proving your opinion is better than his will only make him mad. I've had managers like that before and I'm glad I don't now!

Save your breath, it will just make for bad karma.
If you like the job, shut up and get back to work.
If you don't move on.
